National Museum of African Art, Smithsonian Institute-
WARNING PIC HEAVY!!!!
There isn't really much I can say about the African Art Museum that can't be explained by going there and seeing it for yourself, or looking at the pictures.I think its just one of those places that can't be described in words because the feelings you get are just too strong.
The outside of the castle was really beautiful and I wouldn't mind having a garden like that one day. Minus the statues of extinct birds of course.
Alright may the picture overload begin!!!!
I wonder if this is where European royalty gained their fashion sense. Considering a this was before Elizabeth, I wouldn't doubt it.
This jewelry was some of the most beautiful pieces I had ever seen. I can only imagine how long it took to make them.
A few interesting books I saw in the book store. Some of them were familiar titles and others I plan on reading soon. Stay tuned for updates on those!!
The handmade dolls were simply beautiful. I wish I had ones like them when I was a kid. I did enjoy my Barbie dolls but something about playing with a doll that looks like you or shares similar features is really special.
I really need to up my crafts game and see if I can makes some of these on my own. The prices were just outrageous.
I definitely wouldn't mind a bathtub like this someday!!
Wow I can't believe you actually made it through all of that. Sorry for the photo ambush but I hop you enjoyed and are inspired to visit your local African museum as well.
