End Of The Year Harvest

Hey dolls,
Although we live in different states (or countries), I'm sure that for many of you things have gotten pretty chilly and your tummies just can't wait for turkey day (that is of course, unless your a vegetarian or you plain don't like turkey). And for some of you Halloween and Thanksgiving aren't the only special occasions you'll be celebrating this fall. That's right its time to celebrate the harvest.
Okay, be honest, that is NOT what you were thinking at all, was it??? LoL
The harvest is a very special time of the year when you can really enjoy the fruits of your labor (hee hees). Its really a wonderful feeling to see what you've created and knowing that your eating real organic and healthy food (not like some of the fake stuff at the store). And its also a great way to connect with Mother Earth and thank her for all the blessings she has given our planet (got pretty deep just now).

These are some of the cabbage, broccoli, and potatoes.

Heres  a few snaps of the herbs and spices. I have to say, fresh seasonings are beyond delicious and fresh parsley and basil (my favorite) smell amazing.

My mom made collard greens (greens for short) for days. I gotta say when its fresh it really does taste awesome.

Our little army of trees. Lemon, orange, cherry, peach, lime, and miracle fruit.
A shot of my banana tree in my room.
I was really torn when the rabbits came. They ate all our watermelon, which really pissed me off, but I was also super happy that they were there. Sigh, why are they so cute and bouncy (just like me, hee hees).

That's all for now guys, enjoy your harvest!!

First, add the soba to a pot of water a boil as directed on the package.
Second, in a small sauce pan heat the chow mein

Eat and enjoy!!!!

Asian Dinner #1- Red Miso Soup

Winky Winky dolls,
Its dinner time so here's a fast and fulfilling meal using red miso soup. Since I normally use white miso, this will be my first time trying red. I really enjoyed it and hope you do too.ヽ@(o・ェ・)@ノ
★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★
The red miso that I'm using was really inexpensive and can be found in the Asian foods section of your local grocery store. It's also very easy to make.
★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★─☆。o゚。★
Simply boil some water.
Pour the miso into a bowl.
Add the heated water and stir till you've reached the desired taste.<(*ΦωΦ*)>

I wanted a simple dinner so for sides I added white rice and steak.
I really hope you enjoy and look forward to more delicious foods.

Japanese Breakfast #1

Hey dolls, sorry its been so long but get ready because I've got a ton to tell you. But first let's start our day with a good breakfast ヽ(°▽、°)ノ

I always hear dolls ask how they can make Gyaru apart of their daily life outside of the hair, makeup and coords and today, I'm going to show you how to make a very tasty traditional Japanese breakfast and snack. Let's go!!!! ヽ(´∀`)メ(´∀`)メ

#1st-
Using sushi rice, prepare a small pot of rice. Note: sushi rice is also known as small grain, short grain or pearl rice and it holds together a lot better then long or medium grain rice.

#2nd-
Prepare a bowl of miso soup. I'm using an instant miso soup that you can find in the Asian foods section of your local grocery store such as walmart or jewels.

#3rd-
Prepare a small salad. This can be done anyway that you like.

#4th-
Prepare a small portion of fish or any other meat that you'd like. Today I added fruit instead of any meat.

#5th and lastly-
Make pot of tea. This can be any brand of tea that you enjoy.

And that's it!!!! I really hope you guys enjoy this yummy breakfast. ^_^
Note: A traditional Japanese breakfast, although prepared many ways, may consist of rice, miso soup, salad, tea and either fish or some other meat.

Now lets make a yummy and popular treat which is also great for lunch. Its time to make....Rice balls also known as Onigiri, o-musubi and nigirimeshi. Let's go!!!! ヽ(´∀`)メ(´∀`)メ(´∀`)ノ

#1st-
Mix mayo and tuna into a small bowl. Today I decided to use fish but you can use whatever you like.

#2nd-
Using the remaining rice from your breakfast, place a small spoonful onto a piece of saran wrap.

#3rd-
Place a small spoonful  of the tuna and mayo( in my case tuna and fish) onto the center of the rice then cover it with another spoonful of rice.

#4th-
Gather the ends of the saran wrap together( like a little baggy) and use your hands to form your rice ball. This can take a bit of practice so don't worry if its not a perfect triangle the first time.
Note: You may add a piece of seaweed, also known as nori which can be found in the asian foods section of your local grocery store as well, around the rice ball but you don't have to.
Allow the rice ball to sit for about five minutes so that it may set together and not fall apart when you eat it.

And that's it!!!! I hope you all enjoy and have fun!!!! ヽ(´∀`)メ(´∀`)メ(´∀`)ノ

Bike The Drive Chicago 2013

Summer is here and its time to hit the beach, bonfires and long weekends under the stars.
No one wants to hit the gym when we could be living it up with our friends, but how will we maintain our bagel bodies if we don't???
To really work those calves and tone those thighs while still having a blast with your gal pals try taking a simple bike ride.
That's right, riding your bike can really work your legs without being too boring.
A great time to go biking is your city or states yearly biking day like Chicago's Bike the drive. This a really fun day in chicago where the lake shore drive is closed off for any and all bikers from early morning to mid afternoon.

If your city or state doesn't host biker days, you can also search for any bike routes that may be in your area. you'll be surprised how close some of them are. Bike routes can be a lot of fun and are great for jogging and walking your dog. Be sure to look for routes that fit your needs and ability, as each route is different. Some routes lead into different states for the more experienced and advanced riders, while others are smaller(about ten to fifteen miles) with lots of shortcuts that lead you back to where you started.
Also, remember to stay hydrated when bike riding and wear comfortable clothing to prevent heat exhaustion. And remember to wear sunscreen to reduced sun damage. Have fun dolls

Anime Central 2013

Its a bit overdue but here it is. A quick review of anime central 2013, or acen for short.
Considering how this was the first anime convention that I'd ever been to pretty much everything was new and exciting to me. One thing I learned immediately was to  pre order my badge or face the wrath of waiting in line.
Teehee according to my mom there would be no one at the registration tables. Thankfully we were able to use the special needs line and got through quicker.

The waiting wasn't too bad since I was able to checkout all the cosplays and even the lovely Gyaru dollys
In case you haven't figured it out yet, this post will be filled with pics^_~
There were beautiful cosplays and tons of great merchandise at great prices and awesome deals from wigs to corsets, bedding and posters, key chains and jewelry, plush toys and books and bags and too many things to name all at once.

Like anyone new to the anime convention world I wasn't expecting to see the kpop booths but I so happy when I did. I loved the wide variety of mini and full albums from this year and years before, not to mention all the posters and clothes.

I had a blast and I highly recommend going no matter if your a anime/ manga lover,  kpop/ ulzzang lover, or a gyaru/ lolita dolly^_~
